Perfect Fit Blinds are designed for uPVC or aluminium windows and doors with internal rubber beading. They are not suitable for square-edged frames or frames without internal beading.
Measure the bead depth — this is the distance from the glass surface to the outer edge of the frame.
Your measurement must fall between 18mm and 38mm for the blind to fit correctly.
Brackets are available in the following sizes:
18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm, 32mm and 38mm
Always round up to the next bracket size — never down.
Example:
A 22mm bead depth = 22mm bracket
A 23mm bead depth = 24mm bracket
Choosing the wrong bracket size can make the blind appear too wide or too narrow — even if your measurements are correct.
The bracket controls how snugly the blind fits against the frame. For example, using a larger bracket than required can create visible gaps, making the blind look undersized.
If your bead depth is less than 18mm or more than 38mm, Perfect Fit Blinds are not suitable for your windows or doors.

Use a metal tape measure – it’s more accurate.
Measure just the visible glass, not the rubber seal or beading around it.
Take 3 measurements for both the width and the drop (top, middle, bottom for width — left, middle, right for drop).
Write down the smallest measurement for each — that’s the one to use.
✅ Example:
If your width measurements are 840mm, 838mm, and 839mm → use 838mm.

Recess
Choose this option if your blind will be fitted inside the window recess.
Measure the width and drop in three different places, then provide us with the smallest measurements for each.
We’ll then take 10mm off the width to make sure the blind fits comfortably and operates smoothly inside the recess once installed into the brackets. You don’t need to make any deductions yourself — we’ll handle that for you.
Exact
Choose this option if your blind will be fitted outside the window recess.
This means the blind will be made exactly to the width and drop you provide — including the brackets — with no deductions made.
You decide how much of the window you want the blind to cover. We recommend measuring the width and drop in three places and providing the smallest of each.
To reduce light gaps, we suggest adding at least 7.5cm to each side, as well as to the top and bottom, beyond the window opening.

As you can see in the images above, there are two cassette finish options: one where the fabric is not included inside the fascia (standard finish), and one where the fabric continues and lays neatly across the front of the cassette.
The standard cassette has a clean, minimal look with the front panel left plain — perfect if you prefer a more subtle or uniform appearance.
The fabric-covered fascia, on the other hand, adds a stylish touch by extending the blind’s fabric across the front of the cassette. This creates a more seamless, built-in look and is ideal if you want the blind to blend in with your fabric choice or make more of a design statement.
It’s purely down to personal preference — both options function the same, but the look and finish differ.
Standard Roll
The “Standard Roll” option has the fabric rolling from the back of the tube.
Reverse Roll
The “Reverse Roll” option has the fabric rolling from the front of the tube.
Cassette
The “Cassette” adds a cassette to the top of the blind covering the roller. This is available as either a plain metal cassette, or a metal cassette without a cutout for the fabric to be inserted into it.
Recess
If you choose the “Recess” fitting option, we’ll make a small adjustment to your measurements to ensure the blind fits neatly inside your window frame. As a standard practice, the fabric itself will be 35mm narrower than the width you provide. This allows the blind to operate smoothly without rubbing against the sides.
Exact
If you choose the “Exact Measurement” fitting option, this should only be used for blinds being installed outside the window recess, where you know the exact width of the fabric area you want to cover. Please note that the total width of the blind will be 35mm wider than your provided measurement. This extra width accounts for the brackets and operating mechanism, which sit on either side of the fabric. Be sure to check that you have enough space to accommodate this added width.

We’ll take 10mm off the width to ensure your blind operates smoothly once mounted inside the brackets.
Select this option when your blinds will sit outside the window recess. You can decide how far you’d like them to extend past the window frame. Measure the full width and drop in three places and send us the smallest of each. For the best coverage and minimal light seepage, we suggest adding around 7.5cm to each side, as well as the top and bottom.

How to Measure for Handle Position (Made Easy)
Measuring for your handle position is simple — just follow these quick steps:
Open the handle fully so it’s at a 90° angle. This is important, as we’re measuring to where the handle actually sits when it’s open — not the base plate.
If your handle is at the bottom of the window:
Measure from the left edge of the visible glass to the center of the handle itself (while it’s fully open).
If your handle is on the left or right side of the window:
Measure from the bottom edge of the visible glass to the center of the open handle.
📌 Tip: Don’t measure to the base plate. The goal is to position the rebate cut-out correctly so the open handle can rotate freely — that’s why we measure to the center of the handle when it’s open.

Perfect Fit Shutters are not suitable for square-edged window or door frames. They can only be installed on uPVC windows and doors with internal rubber beading.
To check suitability, measure the bead depth—this is the distance from the glass to the outer edge of the window frame. This measurement must fall between 18mm and 30mm.
Bracket sizes are available in even numbers only: 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, and 30mm.
If your measurement falls between sizes, always round down.
(e.g. 21mm = 20mm bracket, 23mm = 22mm bracket.)
❗ Bead depth is critical.
Ordering the wrong bracket size may cause the shutter to appear too large or too small — when in fact, the issue is with the bracket, not the shutter itself.
For example, if you need a 20mm bracket but choose 22mm instead, there will be an extra 4mm gap between the top and bottom brackets, making the shutter look undersized.
If your bead depth is less than 18mm or more than 30mm, this product is not suitable for your windows or doors.
